Nissan and Porsche on track!

With Kunos Simulazioni’s 1.9.6 update to Assetto Corsa Competizione, not only were there releases of the GT2 DLC and the Red Bull Ring, but there were also performance updates to the GT3 cars. The Porsche 992 GT3R received changes which changed the handling of the car and the Nissan GTR GT3 was completely overhauled, making it a viable contender in top-level esports competition.

NISSAN GTR GT3 & PORSCHE 992 GT3R

NISSAN GTR GT3

Equipped with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 542 hp, and an improved aerodynamic package from its previous 2015 version, the Nissan is a powerful and agile car that is more than capable of challenging others on track. Based on the Nissan GTR Nismo R35, which has a massive cult following amongst all JDM fans, the car will provide you with all the thrill and exhilaration that has been a staple of Nissan’s racing heritage. All we know is that the Nissan will be one to watch in any league that you compete in.

PORSCHE 992 GT3R

Continuing Porsche’s rich heritage in producing competitive GT racing machines, the Porsche 992 GT3R is set to pack a potent punch in hotlap leaderboards. With its signature six-cylinder engine and an upgraded aerodynamics package from its predecessor, the 991.2 GT3R, the car provides a fun platform to push the car and have a unique driving experience, being the only rear-engined GT3 car in ACC. We at GO Setups strongly believe the Porsche will be a strong contender regardless of your skill level owing to the increased predictability of the car especially on corner exit, gaining you heaps of time in the process.

OUR FINAL THOUGHTS

The Nissan GTR GT3 being revitalized by Kunos Simulazioni is a breath of fresh air for every ACC fan, providing a different option to drive and keeping things fresh and engaging. The Nissan GTR GT3 provides a unique challenge for every driver on the sim. With the car being competitive again, we’ll be seeing the Godzilla conquer hotlap leaderboards and esports races very soon.

The Porsche 992 GT3R was a difficult beast to master in the last patch with its rear end being on the loose side. But with its suspension changes in 1.9.6, the car is now much more stable and predictable for any driver, making the Porsche 992 GT3R a much more rounded package.

All in all, our premium Nissan GTR GT3 & Porsche 992 GT3R setups are a must-have for your sim racing journey! Our team at GO Setups will continue to help you push your limits on track and keep bringing you updated content in order for you to have the best driving experience possible.
