This week features two very different challenges on the iRacing oval calendar. NASCAR Cup drivers take on Darlington Raceway, famous for its worn surface, unique shape, and reputation as “The Track Too Tough to Tame.” Precision and patience are crucial here, with its narrow racing groove leaving little margin for error. The Truck Series joins Cup at Darlington, making it a key battleground in the closing weeks of the season. In the Xfinity Series, Week 29 shifts away from the ovals with Portland International Raceway’s full circuit. This flat, technical road course offers a striking contrast to Darlington, demanding accuracy on braking and consistency through long corners. With only one week left after this, every race now has added weight in the standings.
