We’re excited to release updated ACC setups for two high-performance Porsche models:
- Porsche 992 Cup V1.10.3 Update – Updated dry setups for all tracks except Zolder, fine-tuned for improved handling and balance.
- Porsche 991.2 GT2 Wet Setups – Expertly crafted setups to optimise stability, traction, and tyre wear in rainy conditions.
These setups provide everything you need to stay competitive in sprint and endurance races, no matter the conditions. Whether you’re pushing the 992 Cup to the limit on dry circuits or taming the brutal power of the GT2 in the wet, our ACC setups will help you get the best performance from these cars.
THE PORSCHE 992 CUP
AERODYNAMIC BALANCE
The Porsche 992 Cup features a balanced aerodynamic profile, relying on mechanical grip instead of high downforce. Unlike GT3 cars, it has no ABS or traction control, making precision and smooth inputs essential. The car’s low-drag design helps in straight-line speed, while its aerodynamic package provides enough stability for high-speed cornering when set up correctly.
WET WEATHER & FUEL EFFICIENCY
Without traction control, driving the 992 Cup in the wet is a serious challenge. The rear-engine layout offers great traction on acceleration but makes it prone to snap oversteer in slippery conditions. Fuel efficiency remains strong, making it a solid endurance option, but setup refinements are essential for managing grip loss in changing weather.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY
The vehicle’s high-performance braking system delivers reliable stopping power, allowing for late braking into corners without compromising stability. This precision in braking enhances driver confidence and contributes to faster lap times.
PERFORMANCE IN VARIOUS CONDITIONS
The 992 Cup thrives on technical tracks, where its agility and precise handling give it an edge. Circuits like Hungaroring and Nürburgring reward its nimble nature, while fast circuits like Monza demand a smooth driving style to maintain momentum.
TOP SPEED & STRAIGHT-LINE PERFORMANCE
Powered by a 4.0L flat-six engine, the 992 Cup delivers competitive straight-line speed. While it lacks the outright power of a GT3 car, its lightweight chassis and strong exit speeds make it quick on tracks with long straights, such as Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps.
TYRE MANAGEMENT
As a non-ABS car, the 992 Cup requires careful tyre management. Overheating the front tyres is a common issue, especially on circuits with heavy braking zones and quick direction changes. A well-balanced setup ensures even tyre wear, allowing drivers to maintain pace throughout a full stint.
THE PORSCHE 991.2 GT2
AERODYNAMIC BALANCE
The Porsche 991.2 GT2 is a brutal machine with higher downforce than its Cup counterpart, but less stability than a GT3 car. Its aero package is designed for high-speed performance, but in the wet, the rear-heavy nature of the car demands careful setup adjustments to improve cornering stability and grip.
WET WEATHER & FUEL EFFICIENCY
With its twin-turbo engine and rear-wheel drive, the GT2 is notoriously difficult to control in wet conditions. Our wet setups focus on traction control, dampers, and tyre pressures to make sure you can handle rain-soaked circuits without excessive wheelspin. Fuel efficiency is solid for endurance racing, but the challenge is keeping the rear end planted when the track gets slippery.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY
The 991.2 GT2 features ABS, but its high power output means braking stability is still a challenge. In the wet, the rear-heavy weight distribution makes it easy to lock up under braking if not properly set up. Our wet setups refine the brake balance, helping to prevent unwanted oversteer when slowing down for tight corners.
PERFORMANCE IN VARIOUS CONDITIONS
The GT2 dominates in dry conditions but can be a handful in the wet. Our wet setups focus on smoother power delivery and better rotation to help you handle circuits like Spa, Nürburgring, and Monza, even in the rain.
TOP SPEED & STRAIGHT-LINE PERFORMANCE
One of the fastest cars on the straights, the GT2 delivers immense power, but in the wet, it’s easy to lose control if the rear steps out. Our wet setups optimize differential settings, traction control, and suspension to keep you planted at high speeds.
TYRE MANAGEMENT
The GT2’s high torque means rear tyres can wear quickly in the wet if you’re too aggressive with throttle inputs. Our wet setups improve tyre longevity, helping you maintain grip throughout long stints without sacrificing pace.
