The Porsche 935 GT2’s latest update in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) V1.10.2 introduces key enhancements that distinguish it from its 991.2 GT2 counterpart. While these cars share the same engine, gearbox, and chassis, the Porsche 935 GT2 benefits from superior aerodynamics that improve handling over curbs and bumps, ensuring a more balanced and controlled drive.
THE PORSCHE 935 GT2
AERODYNAMIC ADVANTAGE
The Porsche 935 GT2’s aerodynamics set it apart, offering greater stability over curbs and rough surfaces. This update allows the car to maintain its balance even in challenging track conditions, providing a smoother, more predictable driving experience.
IMPROVED BRAKING
Compared to the 991.2 GT2, the Porsche 935 GT2 now offers better braking control, making trail braking more manageable and enhancing overall driving confidence, especially in tight corners.
PERFORMANCE ON THE TRACK
Despite its enjoyable driving dynamics, the Porsche 935 GT2 lags behind the rest of the GT2 field in top speed and overall lap times. This isn’t surprising, as the car wasn’t initially designed for GT2 racing—it’s more of an art piece brought to the track. While it handles well, its rotation and top speed don’t quite measure up to dedicated GT2 racers.
