Indianapolis, often called “Indy,” has long stood as a global hub for motorsport. The city hosts INDYCAR, the United States Auto Club, and more than 500 motorsport-related companies. At its heart lies the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which created legends through the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400. It also welcomed Formula 1 during the United States Grand Prix.
The modern FIA Grade 1 road course, completed in 2000, combines sections of the oval with a technical infield design. Measuring 2.605 miles (4.192 km), it offers a balance of speed and precision. Consequently, it continues to challenge drivers across many disciplines.
