Le Mans Ultimate V1.3 Update!

31 March 2026

The first major LMU update of 2026 just dropped and it is packed. New car, new track, faster loading, better force feedback and a massive Balance of Performance pass across both Hypercar and LMGT3. Whether you race online daily or jump in for the weekly events, V1.3 has something for you. Here is the full recap.

LMU V1.3 New Content

Genesis Hypercar

  • The Genesis Hypercar makes its debut in LMU, bringing a fresh and competitive entry to the top class.

ELMS Pack 3

  • The Duqueine D09 joins the LMP3 class as the third chassis alongside the Ligier and Ginetta, completing the ELMS grid.
  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya also makes its LMU debut with the 2025 non-chicane layout.

ELMS Season Pass holders and RaceControl Pro+ subscribers get both automatically. They are also available separately for €9.99 / £8.99 / $11.99.

New Track Layouts in LMU V1.3

Beyond Barcelona, several existing tracks get expanded options:

  • Silverstone now features the National, International and Grand Prix (Wing pitlane) configurations.
  • Paul Ricard gets four new layouts: 1a, 1av2, 1av2-short and 3a.
  • Imola, Spa and Portimao have been expanded to support the ELMS 44 car grid, meaning bigger fields in championships and online events.

LMU V1.3 Force Feedback: TrueForce and Haptic Support

This is probably the biggest FFB change since LMU launched.

Logitech TrueForce is now natively supported. It uses vibrotactile effects triggered directly from the physics engine alongside traditional force feedback to create a more dynamic feel through the wheel.

Even if you do not own a TrueForce compatible wheel, you still benefit. These new effects are now available for all users with an adjustable intensity slider. Give it a try, the difference is noticeable.

Bass shaker support has also been added. Select your device from the dropdown in sound settings and you are good to go.

LMU V1.3 Performance Improvements: Loading Times, Occlusion Culling and New UI

Studio 397 has done serious work under the hood, partly driven by ongoing console preparation.

New UI system. The old Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) has been replaced by Coherent, a lighter and more game-focused solution. This removes the need to run V-Sync in mixed gameplay and UI screens like the monitor and watch views. It should also eliminate several persistent CEF-related crashes.

Loading times have been reduced by approximately 20%.

Occlusion culling for vehicles has been introduced. Cars you cannot see are no longer rendered, which should help performance noticeably near the pitlane where cars sit in garages.

VR users should also see improvements with fixes targeting performance regressions from the previous patch cycle.

LMU V1.3 Balance of Performance Changes

The BoP infrastructure itself has been updated for more flexible adjustments going forward. Here is a summary of where things stand.

  • LMGT3 winners: The McLaren 720S Evo received the biggest weight reduction in the class with cuts at all 12 tracks, up to -20 kg at Qatar. The Ferrari 296, BMW M4 Evo, Ford Mustang and Porsche 911 R also got lighter across the board.
  • LMGT3 losers: The Lexus RC F picked up extra weight at 12 circuits, including +12 kg at Imola and +10 kg at COTA. The Aston Martin Vantage AMR was hit hard at Le Mans (+18 kg), Silverstone (+10 kg) and Qatar (+10 kg).
  • Hypercar winners: The Alpine A424, Porsche 963, Lamborghini SC63 and Isotta Fraschini all received mostly positive adjustments with weight reductions at key tracks.
  • Hypercar losers: The Ferrari 499P picked up extra weight at all 11 tracks, up to +18 kg at Silverstone. The Peugeot 9X8 with wing was penalised heavily at Silverstone (+25 kg), Qatar (+25 kg) and COTA (+20 kg).

The Toyota GR010 received a mixed bag, lighter at some tracks and heavier at others.

LMU V1.3 Additional Improvements

  • Broadcast overlay has been fully rewritten to match the WEC season graphics. It is now detached from game builds and can be updated remotely, great news for league organisers and broadcasters.
  • New telemetry parameters have been added to the shared memory file. Good news for SimHub users and anyone running external dashboards or hardware displays.
  • LiveSteward system has been refined for faster review of false positives and quicker action on intentional wrecking reports.
  • Online stability improvements including better clock synchronisation and fixes for clients who crash or alt-F4 being placed incorrectly in race standings.
  • Input improvements including reduced input latency, cleaned up input signal, fixed high frequency noise and new default profiles for Logitech RS50 and PRO wheels.
  • Track fixes across multiple circuits including updated curb grip levels, track limits corrections at COTA turn 15, nightlighting adjustments at Sebring and various collision and asset fixes at Silverstone, Paul Ricard, Portimao and Le Mans.

Team Endurance Races and Career Mode

The recent 12 Hours of Le Mans test was largely successful and 38 car events are now officially out of the test programme. A 24 hour test is coming next.

Career mode remains in development and is now expected later in 2026. Studio 397 wants to give it the time it needs. More content plans, including a new season pass, will be shared at Le Mans in June.

GO Setups: We Are Already on It

New content, updated BoP and physics changes will impact how the cars drive and how current setups perform. Our team is already working on updated setups for V1.3.

The first batch covering the Genesis GMR-001, the Duqueine D09, Barcelona-Catalunya and BoP-affected cars drops this Friday, April 3rd on gosetups.gg.
