To address this, organisers may increase the weather variability coefficient, leading to conditions that can change mid-race. With our new Hybrid Setups, you have a configuration that works well in both dry conditions and medium rain, making it ideal for races with mixed weather.
KEY BENEFITS OF HYBRID SETUPS:
- Adaptability: Ideal for races with variable weather, especially when there is a high chance of both dry and wet conditions.
- Performance: These setups are optimised for 70% dry and 30% wet conditions, ensuring stable handling across different weather scenarios.
- Consistency: Hybrid setups offer reliable performance in medium rain when there are many cars on the track, simulating near-dry conditions. For heavy rain or thunderstorms, switching to a MED WET setup is recommended.
WHEN TO USE HYBRID SETUPS
- Mixed Weather Races: Perfect for endurance events where the weather forecast predicts a mix of dry and rainy conditions.
- Medium Rain: Ideal when there are 25-30+ cars on track, creating a visible dry line, allowing the car to handle almost like it’s in light rain.
- Avoid in Extreme Wet: Not suitable for heavy rain or thunderstorms; switch to a dedicated wet setup instead.
