THE FERRARI 488 CHALLENGE EVO
AERODYNAMIC BALANCE
The Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO boasts excellent aerodynamic balance, ensuring a smooth and predictable drive. Despite having less downforce compared to a GT3, it remains stable, making it perfect for tracks with minimal curbing.
POWER OUTPUT & TRACTION CONTROL
Featuring a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 engine with 670 hp and 760 Nm of torque, this car delivers impressive straight-line speed. The recent BOP adjustments now place it in the GT2 class. While the traction control system is reliable, turning it off can help you achieve better lap times.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY
The 488 Challenge EVO’s brakes aren’t the strongest, due to its high top speeds and relatively smaller brake size. Precise braking is crucial to maintaining optimal performance.
TYRE MANAGEMENT
This car is prone to rear tyre overheating, especially during long races. Proper tyre management and balanced driving are essential to prevent excessive wear.
HANDLING CURBS
Curbs can be challenging for the 488 Challenge EVO due to its bouncy nature. It performs best on smooth tracks without heavy curbing. On tracks like Zolder or Kyalami, precise lines are necessary to avoid stability issues.
PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
The Ferrari 488 Challenge EVO excels on modern, smooth tracks, offering a balanced and enjoyable driving experience. However, its braking limitations and sensitivity to curbs may pose challenges on more demanding tracks.
